Lapelio is made by Sid, who trains grappling and built it at a gym in France. It's independent, founder-run and based in Poitiers.
How it started
It started with one coach. Most members paid cash between rounds, part now and the rest next week. The records lived in a spreadsheet, the Stripe dashboard and his memory, and he didn't want to chase anyone awkwardly.
Lapelio began as the ledger for that. The roll call, the door QR, free trials and reminders came next, because that's what the gym asked for on class nights.
How it works with founding gyms
20 founding academies: the first 30 days free, then free up to 20 paying members and a flat price per paying member above that, kept for life. I set each one up with you: we prepare your import, you click Import, and the door QR poster comes in the post.
