What's the best software for a small BJJ gym?
It depends on how you bill. If you need autopay on every membership and you have a front desk, a full gym system with built-in billing fits better. If you teach most classes, students pay in different ways, and you mostly need to know who's on the mat, who's on trial and who owes, Lapelio is built for that: roll call, door QR, free trials, families and payments, month to month, with no cut of your payments.
How do I track who paid at my jiu-jitsu gym?
Put every student on a plan and log each payment as it comes in: cash between rounds, Venmo, Zelle or a check. Card payments through your own Stripe log themselves. Lapelio then shows who's paid, who's partly paid and who owes, on the member list and on tonight's roll call.
Does Lapelio charge my members' cards automatically?
No. Lapelio doesn't run autopay. If you connect your own Stripe account, card payments made there show up in Lapelio by themselves, and anyone can pay what they owe by card through a pay link. Cash, checks, Venmo and Zelle you log in a few taps. If autopay on every membership is a must, Lapelio isn't the right tool yet.
